The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with immense patriotism and enthusiasm at school campus on the morning of 14th August 2025. The school campus was adorned in thetricoloursand the spirit of freedom and unity echoed in every corner.The celebration commenced with the flag hoisting ceremony, a moment that filled every heart
with pride and reverence. As the National Flag unfurled high, it was accompanied by the powerful singing of the National Anthem by all students, staffand guestscreating an
atmosphere of unity and devotion to the nation. Following this, the Chief GuestProf. Jyoti Chawla and Guest of Honour Dr. Suchita Malik  were given a warm and respectful welcome by the revered Chairman Sir Mr. Prashant Khosla  and honoured Principal Ma’am Mrs. Rajesh Banopreeya.Their presence graced the occasion and uplifted the patriotic spirit of the event.The celebration continued with a melodious patriotic song performed by the school choir.

The powerful lyrics and harmonies reflected the pride and sacrifices associated with India’sindependence, leaving the audience deeply moved.The revered Principal Ma’am addressed the gathering with heartfelt words that struck a deep  chord with everyone present. She spoke about the true essence of Independence Day, not just as a celebration of freedom, but as a reminder of the sacrifices that made it possible. Ma’am encouraged the students to value this hard-earned freedom and to grow into responsible, honestand committed citizens. Her words inspired all to reflect on their role in building a united and progressive India.

A special moment in the program was the ‘Martyr Major Dr. Ashwini Kumar Kanav Shourya Prize Distribution, a tribute to the supreme sacrifice of Major Kanav.This award is presented to outstanding students for their achievements in academics and co-curricular activities. This segment not only honoured excellence but also instilled a strong sense of patriotism among students.Vikram Dahiya of class XI was the proud recipient of this year’s award.

Independence Day-2024

For India the midnight between 14th and 15th of August 1947,pushed opened the gates of self role when a restless,eager and dynamic nation raised its face,lifted its fate and opened its arms to the winds of change.To mark this glorious triumph, Gyan Mandir Public School celebrated the 76th Independence Day with boundless enthusiasm and patriotic fervour.

The school lawn was beautifully decorated with flags and balloons to commemorate the day. Allthe students, teachers, and parents gathered in the school premises at 9.15 a.m to witness a colorful programme. The chief guest for the occasion was Doctor Sanjay Chaturvedi, Deputy  Director of Education, District,South West A. School Chairman, Mr.Prashant Khosla welcomed  the Chief Guest. The guest of honour for the event was Mrs.Suchita Malik,sister of martyr Dr.Ashwani Kanav.

The event commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag followed by the National Anthem. The singing of the National song,’Vande Mataram’ stirred in one and all,strong feelings of patriotism. Each moment of the patriotic fervour was relished by the August gathering.Our respected Principal, Mrs.Rajesh Bano Preeya motivated the gathering with her inspirational words and welcomed the Chief Guest and the management. Next to follow was a highly motivational and power packed performance in the form of a dance drama presenting to the audience the life journey of the brave freedom fighters ‘Bhagat Singh,Sukhdev and Rajguru’.

After that, the School choir group presented an immensely sublime song,’Satrangi Desh Hamara’. The event resonated with the thunderous claps of the gathering which no doubt echoed the patriotic fervour and zeal from every corner. Chief guest,Dr.Sanjay Chaturvedi addressed the gathering with his insightful, thought- provoking and enlightening words. The programme culminated with the Vote of Thanks extended by the school Vice Principal, Mrs.Babita Wason.The celebration was truly a memorable one efficaciously creating an ambience of patriotism, unity, integrity and harmony
