A career guidance workshop was successfully conducted on the topic “Careers After 12th (CUET, IPM, LAW, BCA, BBA etc.)” for the students of Classes 11 and 12. The session aimed to provide clarity about various career options available after completing higher secondary education, especially in the fields of commerce, management, law, and technology.
The workshop was led by an experienced resource person, Mr. Amit Poddar, who has been actively involved in career counseling and competitive exam preparation. The session began with an overview of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), including its structure, eligibility, and preparation strategy. Following this, detailed information was provided on professional courses such as:
IPM (Integrated Program in Management) – its scope, IIMs offering the program, and selection process.LAW (CLAT & other law entrances) – career prospects in legal studies and preparation tips.
BCA & BBA – their curriculum, career growth, and difference between the two.Other emerging fields were also briefly touched upon to broaden the students’ perspectives.
Students actively participated in the Q&A session, asking insightful questions about entrance exams, college selection, and career paths. The session concluded with motivational guidance and practical tips on how to choose the right career based on individual strengths and interests.
Overall, the workshop was informative, interactive, and well-received by the students and staff.
Career Counselling Workshop on CUET exam
On Tuesday, 23rd April 2024
Gyan Mandir Public School organised a Career Counselling Workshop on CUET exam preparations on 23rd April 2024 from 10:00 a.m to 12:30 p.m in the school premises for the classes XI and XII under the guidance of the visionary Principal Mrs. Rajesh Banopreeya
The guest for the session was an eminent speaker Vidur Sharma who is B.sc ( Maths ) , M.A ( history) , NET/ JRF , An Author with Upkar publications and UPSC qualified. He had already trained more than 40 lakh students.
The session aimed at guiding students about different universities and their criterion, varied time limits for individual exams.Along with that the students were made aware about the difference between percentile in CUET and percentage in CBSE board exams.
Moreover they were guided about 27 Domains in the CUET and different approaches to master MCQs.The session concluded with the most relevant tip of considering NCERT books to be the most important source for study.In the end students asked their queries and were relieved to know the true facts. It was quite an informative session for the senior class students.
