A career guidance workshop was successfully conducted on the topic “Careers After 12th (CUET, IPM, LAW, BCA, BBA etc.)” for the students of Classes 11 and 12. The session aimed to provide clarity about various career options available after completing higher secondary education, especially in the fields of commerce, management, law, and technology.
The workshop was led by an experienced resource person, Mr. Amit Poddar, who has been actively involved in career counseling and competitive exam preparation. The session began with an overview of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), including its structure, eligibility, and preparation strategy. Following this, detailed information was provided on professional courses such as:
IPM (Integrated Program in Management) – its scope, IIMs offering the program, and selection process.LAW (CLAT & other law entrances) – career prospects in legal studies and preparation tips.
BCA & BBA – their curriculum, career growth, and difference between the two.Other emerging fields were also briefly touched upon to broaden the students’ perspectives.
Students actively participated in the Q&A session, asking insightful questions about entrance exams, college selection, and career paths. The session concluded with motivational guidance and practical tips on how to choose the right career based on individual strengths and interests.
Overall, the workshop was informative, interactive, and well-received by the students and staff.

CPR Workshop at Gyan Mandir Public School

An informative and practical workshop on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) was organised in the school on 11.5.2024. The session aimed to equip students and staff with essential life-saving skills. The workshop was conducted by a skilled team of paramedics of BLK Hospital from 2.00 p.m. to 3.00 p.m.

The workshop commenced with a brief introduction by the team of paramedics, who highlighted the importance of CPR in emergency situations. They explained that CPR is a critical skill that can help save lives during cardiac arrest by maintaining blood flow to the brain and other vital organs until professional medical help arrives.

The session began with an explanation of the basic principles of CPR. The paramedics detailed the circumstances under which CPR should be administered. Key points included the recognition of cardiac arrest, the importance of immediate action and calling emergency services.

The paramedics demonstrated the correct techniques for performing CPR, including chest compressions and rescue breaths. Students and staff were shown how to position their hands correctly and apply the right amount of pressure during chest compressions.

A few students and teachers were given the opportunity to practice CPR techniques on mannequins under the guidance of the paramedics. This hands-on practice helped reinforce the skills learned during the demonstration.

The CPR workshop provided valuable training to the attendees. The paramedics’ expertise and the interactive nature of the session ensured that the attendees left with a deep understanding of how to perform CPR effectively. This knowledge is crucial, as it can make a significant difference in emergency situations, potentially saving lives.

Career Counselling Workshop on CUET exam

Gyan Mandir Public School organised a Career Counselling Workshop on CUET exam preparations on 23rd April 2024 from 10:00 a.m to 12:30 p.m in the school premises for the classes XI and XII under the guidance of the visionary Principal Mrs. Rajesh Banopreeya

The guest for the session was an eminent speaker Vidur Sharma who is B.sc ( Maths ) , M.A ( history) , NET/ JRF , An Author with Upkar publications and UPSC qualified. He had already trained more than 40 lakh students.

The session aimed at guiding students about different universities and their criterion, varied time limits for individual exams.Along with that the students were made aware about the difference between percentile in CUET and percentage in CBSE board exams.

Moreover they were guided about 27 Domains in the CUET and different approaches to master MCQs.The session concluded with the most relevant tip of considering NCERT books to be the most important source for study.In the end students asked their queries and were relieved to know the true facts. It was quite an informative session for the senior class students.

An enlightening workshop was conducted on ‘Waste segregation and the disadvantages of single-use plastic’ for the students of V to VIII std. on 9.2.2024 in the school premises. The event aimed to educate and inspire students to adopt eco-friendly practices for a sustainable future.

The workshop was graced by the presence of Mr. Umang Bajaj, Counselor of Naraina Vihar. Several other esteemed guests also graced the occasion.

Mr. Umang Bajaj addressed the gathering, motivating the students to take proactive measures to reduce their usage of single-use plastic. He emphasized the importance of individual responsibility in combating environmental degradation and urged the students to become ambassadors for change in their communities.He also presented each teacher with eco-friendly jute bags. This act exemplified the need for the commitment to promoting environmentally conscious practices and also served as a tangible reminder of the importance of reducing single-use plastic in our daily lives.

A captivating nukkad natak was presented by the Information Education and Communication team of Metro Waste Organization to spread awareness about waste segregation and the harmful effects of single-use plastic. It effectively conveyed the message of environmental conservation and encouraged the audience to rethink their consumption habits.

The workshop featured interactive session where students actively participated in discussionsrelated to waste management and plastic pollution. This session provided students with an opportunity to exchange ideas, share experiences and deepen their understanding of the burning issue.

The workshop served as a catalyst for raising awareness about environmental issues and fostering a culture of responsible consumption among the younger generation.

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, on Monday, 26 th November marked its 68th Foundation Day, celebrating the premiere tertiary care institute’s glorious journey. Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Bharati Pravin Pawar inaugurated an exhibition during the event. Gyan Mandir Public School students of class XI and XII visited the exhibition organised at AIIMS on the theme “AIIMS Today and Vision for 2047”. Students enjoyed learning about research in traditional Indian system of medicine and its active engagement in the healthcare system. They also had hands on experience in CPR -Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation which is an emergency life saving procedure performed when the heart stops beating. Students had a great learning experience.

Summary:The main focus of the workshop was on daily timetable utilizing time after school. The resource person Mr. Poddar suggested the students to write diary at night & analyze them everyday. He also discussed different techniques and theory of time management to reap maximum benefits.

Report of workshop – “Good Touch, Bad Touch”

An educational and informative workshop on ‘Good Touch, Bad Touch‘ was conducted by Anon Global Foundation for Pre Primary Department on Monday, 26.09.22 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Students were shown an interesting presentation to make them aware about what to do if someone tries bad touch. Some playful activities were also included in the workshop . In the end , badges were distributed to the students who had answered a short question answer round. All in all, the children thoroughly enjoyed the interactive session and learnt many new concepts from it.

55 Students from classes VI to IX attended the session. It was an online webinar for the students. Training for Minecraft Education Edition was given and students logged in with their Office 365 ID and password and did hands on at the same time. It was a fruitful session for the session and they learned controls and tips & tricks for the software.
