The UNESCO Club of the Gyan Mandir Public School was set up in 1984. This Club is actively involved in multifarious activities which include.

1. COLLABORATIVE PROJECTS : In order to make the students of the school global citzens, the UNESCO club is involved in collaborative projects currently with Finland, Sweden and Netherlands.

2. HERITAGE WALKS : HERITAGE-OUR PARAMPARA 'SAVING THE PRESENT FOR THE FUTURE is the aim with which heritage activities are undertaken in the school. The students are taken for Heritage Walks to places like Turkman Gate, Agra, Jaipur, Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Kashmere Gate, Jama Masj id etc. Most of these walks are organised under the able guidance of SRDC..

3. COMMUNITY PROGRAMMES : The U.N.E.S.C.O. Club is also involved in a number of community reach programmes. The students take part in a number of community walks and Marches in the locality like 'Anti Cracker Drive' Save Water Marches.' Anti -Tobacco Drives' `Diabetes Awareness, Marches' Save Energy Drive' etc.

4. WORKSHOPS ORGANIZED BY CUCAI : The CUCAI has been organizing various workshops for the teachers as well as the students. We participate in these workshops which are related to topics like 'Sustainable Development 'Preserving our National Heritage' Energy Conservation' etc.

5. PROMOTING SECULARISM : Secularism is an important principle enshrined in the Indian Constitution and the UNESCO Club tries its best to inculcate the values of religious tolerance in its members. This is done by organizing special talks in the Morning Assembly, celebrating religious festivals like Raksha Bandhan, Janamashtami, Dussehra X'mas, etc.

6. ORGANISING MITSUBISHI ASIAN CHILDREN'S ART COMPETITIONS : Every /year, we also organize the Mitsubishi Asian Enikki Children's Festa in our school in which \-/ children participate in large numbers and depict there lives, festivals etc.

7. UNESCO AWARD : Our school also bagged the best UNESCO award for the year 2011-2012 for the multifaruous activities undertaken by he School. Ours was the only school in Delhi and one of the five in India to bag this award.
